Saladin, Richard the Lionheart, the Romans and Hamas have all fought over Jerusalem
James Dacre directs this epic look at the warriors who have fought for control over the city of Jerusalem throughout the ages. Beginning with the epic struggles of Saladin and Richard The Lionheart, this sweeping epic also explores the claim placed upon the most holy of cities by everyone from the Romans to Hamas suicide bombers.
Written by David Eldridge, Holy Warriors explores Holy War, revenge and crusades in the intimate surroundings of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. Among those playing the extensive, century spanning cast of characters are Alexander Siddig (Syriana, Kingdom of Heaven) and Jolyon Coy (The Fifth Estate, The Deep Blue Sea).
