I saw this musical quite recently and, although knowing little about the time period that it was set in, I found it easy to empathise with the realistic performances of the workers. I thoroughly enjoyed the engaging and emotional acting of each and every participant, which resulted in a captivated audience throughout. My favourite part was Billy's performance of swan lake with his future self, as it contrasted with the former liveliness of the musical and was mesmerising to watch. I would definitely recommend this musical, as it's clever direction and song composition gave a humorous and touching performance, although it is unfortunately not suitable for a young audience, due to frequent strong language.

BILLY ELLIOT - WHAT A LET DOWN.

I saw this play recently and thought it lacked emotion and depth in the acting. The songs were very cliche and predictable. On the other hand the theatre was beautiful and the staff were very nice but overall it was a disappointing evening due to the 'quality' of the show. I really wouldn't recommend this - go see a play which doesn't have tired actors in it.
