Phantom aims to reopen next June

The West End staple is set to open its doors again in Spring 2021

The June 2021 reopening will mark over a year of shutdown on London's West End due to the Coronavirus. However, the rollout of several vaccines options in the UK have made producers more confident about reopening. In particular, these vaccines pave the way for the return of bigger shows which can't run with social distancing due to their sizeable production costs.

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Mackintosh used the shutdown to make some essential updates to Phantom's iconic set. So expected some cast changes alongside Killian Donnelly (who will star at the Phantom) plus a refreshed look!

The much-welcome reopening will come just a month after Sir ALW's brand new West End show, Cinderella, makes its debut. Both are of course banking on their being no new social distancing restrictions or tier rules come June 2021 - here's hoping!
