The rehearsals for the new production are in full swing! After scooping the 2023 Olivier awards for Best New Musical and Best New Score, this heartfelt new musical from Chris Bush and indie icon Richard Hawley announced it will make its West End debut in spring 2024, beginning performances at the Gillian Lynne Theatre on February 8, 2024. It's set to be one of 2024's early highlights and perhaps a modern classic in years to come. Check out the rehearsal shots below!

What is Standing at the Sky's Edge?

Originating at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre in 2019 before moving to the National Theatre in 2022, "Standing at the Sky's Edge" is set in the city's Park Hill estate and follows the lives of some of the people who lived there. Built in 1957, it was granted Grade II listing in 1998 and has often been featured in the arts, with mentions in songs by Pulp, The Arctic Monkeys, and Yungblud, and as a setting for the "This Is England" series and "Doctor Who."
