DISAPPOINTING
Saw Derren brown showman and thought it was amazing, Breathtaking and left me with loads of questions. I was telling friends and family about it for weeks. Booked unbelievable A advertised at this last show. Extremely disappointed! The cast aren’t magicians and haven’t done any previous magic. Just west end stars learning tricks. Not slick and no where near the standard of Derrens normal shows.

SLIGHTLY UNDER WHELMING
There was a lot of audience participation and this meant the evening dragged on a bit. Especially as you had to wait for them to come from the seat to the stage. The illusions lacked the wow factor, as an adult I was expecting. The finale seemed a little lacklustre. The cast was solid and this definitely was a family event.

NOT TO DB STANDARD
I watched in the north. Nowhere near to the standard of his own shows and a few things went wrong. I was part of the music trick, so won’t spoil it but due to part I played in it it was pretty easy to work it out. Such a shame. Enjoyed it still but did not meet expectations.

DISAPPOINTING AND PREDICTABLE
I expected so much more from this, having seen a lot of Derren Browns shows and being so impressed with them. The first half of the show was highly predictable and the tricks weren’t fooling anyone. I didn’t particularly like the hosts and didn’t “believe” in them. The second half was much better but sadly the show was tainted at that point. I even considered leaving at the interval. Would not recommend to a friend.

I WAS EXCITED
The cast were great Smiles were amazing - enthusiasm superb But thats the end Heavily scripted Predictable Disaponting It was like watching the magicians apprentice. For me derren brown - but no derren brown I booked purely after watching him on stage and a heavily pimped show Wont make the same mistake agin.

UNBELIEVABLE - DERREN BROWN
Title sums it up really. I've seen Derren's shows a lot and always left the theatre on a high with loads of questions and a little bit of awe on how he holds the audience like a proper showman. A few of the ''tricks' in our show went wrong with participants accidently giving a big verbal hint/spoiler on one and the pre-show prep being utterly predictable on another. The music was great and the actors were enthusiastic but I left feeling disappointed at the very 'unbelievable' experience. I know he apparently wrote this show but don't book this if you are expecting anything like a Derren Brown experience you've had before as he makes the show and getting actors to deliver something he has written, in my opinion, just didn't work

DISAPPOINTING
The performers did a good job and were entertaining. Unfortunately the material they were given was old hat and in no way to the standard of magic the Derren Brown link implied. I agree with another review that it is the sort of magic you uncle does at Xmas. May be an idea if the stooges don't sit in the audience as it rather gives it a way! Waste of money unless you are taking the kids.
