AMAZINGLY WELL WRITTEN SHOW WITH AN ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS CAST!!

I loved it it was just wonderful. Loads of laughs, tears, joy, beautiful singing, the cast wrung out every gamut of emotion. So good my friend and I would both go again. Congratulations on the writing, the singing, the dancing and particularly the heartfelt performances of the lead characters. Thank you all!!

BRILLIANT FROM START TO FINISH

I don't normally write reviews but this was so good I just had to! Everything from the production, dancing, singing and music was brilliant. I couldn't believe I had been in the theatre for nearly 3 hours, time just flew by. I would definitely recommend.

A PREDICTABLE CLICHE OF A SHOW

I reckon Billy Elliot for the Kinky Boots generation just about sums up this new musical. It is an interesting story and being a supporter of local theatre I must commend the Crucible in Sheffield for creating and presenting it but there must surely be shows more worthy of a West End outing than this. Firstly, Jamie is hardly Rosa Parks - the right for males to wear female clothing is well-established. The documentary on which 'Jamie' is based was made in 2011. Things have moved on since then - to the extent that even the Church of England agrees that cross-dressing is harmless and that, indeed, denying it is cruel. Why is it that, for some, drag queens seem to be in the vanguard of gay rights? Forget the frocks and the campery - there is a good, intelligent UK musical about being gay and gay rights still waiting. to be written. But if you like your characters two-dimensional and predictable (bigoted dad, unsympathtic teacher, brave mum, camp homosexual) you will love this show.
