GREAT SINGING SPOILT BY BAD LANGUAGE.

I went to see this show recently, I did enjoy the songs and the cast were great but the show was totally spoilt by the constant swearing the odd one or two is fine but one every couple of minutes is too much, definately not one for children under 15.

LET DOWN WITH THE STRONG LANGUAGE

I was so looking forward to seeing this show as I am a fan of the jersey boys but what a great performance let down, with the constant use of strong language. Why does the use of this language have to be used in a musical that should be good family entertainment. Is this a sign of the times?

POOR VOCALS!!

Love most west end shows this is a great one.Until you get a understudy who can't sing!! Really spoiled this show for me when a Michael Watson was playing the lead a few weeks back. Why oh why is he covering this part? I've seen other covers on before who were excellent! This guy sang flat the whole show with angry acting that isn't the character of Frankie Valli. So disappointed with the drop of standard I was in too minds to leave half way through! Will leave it a while until I go again!

COULD BE BETTER!

Musicals are one of my hobbies.Love going at least twice a month. This show is one of my favourites but could be so much better! It's all down to the vocals in this show.If you can't sing it the show gets let down badly! Sadly it seems the amount of actors I have seen perform in this show as the lead are really not up to doing the part! Ryan molloy has set such a high standard that very few can match this. It seems some actors have been cast because they look the part or for some other reason. It should be all down to talent. This is a singing show after all. Hats off to Ryan for doing a great job over the years. Some understudies have been really good too. By far the best too date Ben Jennings! Would try and catch these two if you want a quality show!!

BRILL SHOW/BAD LEAD!

Has to be one of the best shows ever! Great music. This time was the first I have seen the part of Frankie Valli being played really bad! Michael Watson just wasn't up to the part. His vocals were not up to it. He was flat and out of tune. I think the other cast members back him up in the singing scenes but he really struggled I'm afraid. Surely this not the best the show can do! Come on guys pick someone who can do this show justice!!

GREAT SHOW! AVERAGE LEAD!

The show sells itself most of the time but depends on who's playing the lead to how good it is! I personally have seen a few actors who are not always quite right but on the whole have managed to get throughout the show. With live theatre you expect that it's not always going to be perfect. An actor was covering the lead when I last saw the show. Michael Watson. He struggled with the vocals which resulted in him being flat/off key for most of the song. He was really nervous so his acting was too over the top. Really shouldn't be playing the lead!! Not a good example for a London show!!

PICK YOUR LEAD!

Outstanding Ryan Molloy! Seen this actor many times over the years play Frankie! He is the show! Can't see anyone coming close for talent when he ever leaves. Judging some of the understudies the show will end up a lower standard. Hope this doesn't happen as it has with many other shows in the past!

What we thought

If you've seen it before, I recommend seeing it again to see how the new cast and theatre, and newcomers will delight in the sheer toe-tapping fabulousity of the numbers.

Even if you weren't a twinkle in your parents' eyes in the Sixties, Jersey Boys has plenty of catchy non-stop hits that you are bound to recognise.
