BEST JOSEPH EVER

GARETH GATES WAS BRILIANT AS JOSEPH. THE SHOW WAS AMAZING WITH THE RIGHT LEVEL OF HUMOUR . THE KING CAST AS ELVIS WAS A STROKE OF GENIUS. EVERY ONE WORKED SO HARD TO GIVE A VERY POLISHED PERFORMANCE. THE STAR OF THE SHOW WAS GARETH. SO SAD TO HEAR IT'S FINSIHING AT THE END OF MAY AS I WAS GOING TO BOOK TO SEE IT AGIAN IN JUNE.

25 OCTOBER

We were not disappointed by 'Joseph', a fantastic evening out full of colour and inspirational performances. The entire cast were extraordinary, from dancers, the children, to the more 'major' parts; the 11 brothers were particularly amusing and all their songs were impressively executed! My only small problem was the volume of the finale section, that was in my opinion far too loud to be comfortable, leaving that 'far too loud disco hearing' the day afterwards. Beautifully narrated with humour and clarity of diction - we heard every word in all of the production, apart from the Pharoah's songs where the high volume of sound output yet again made the lyrics hard to understand. Lee Mead - how can anyone fail to be impressed and carried along with his enthusiasm - he looks, sounds and believes in the part!

NO LEE MEAD

I came to see the show on Sat 8 Nove 08. After following, voting and seeing Lee win everyones heart in the "who will be Jospeh". I saved all year to come along and see this amazing performance only to be disappointed that Lee was not appearing. Whilst i understand there are understudies for all parts, surely there should have been some notification that Lee would not be performing on this day. Overall the show was fab, but there is also the disappointment that we came all this way to see Lee Mead, for it to be announced as the performance was starting that the part would be played by Ricky Rojas. I feel the star of the show was actually the Narrator she was fab.

29 SEPTEMBER SHOW

Hi I loved the show and had seen it twice when Jason Donovan was in it years ago. I love the story line, we did this at school when I was a kid and its stuck with me since. The only problem I have with it was that I wanted to see Lee perform as I had followed the TV program when he won the part of Joseph so when he came out of stage and only stayed for a bout 10mins I was very upset, it kind of was a let down after that. Only because I had been looking forward to seeing Lee other than that the show was great!

NOT UP TO EXPECTATION

My wife and I came out of this production very disappointed and it was not because Lee Mead was not starring. Lewis was a good understudy, but the rest of the cast was poor. We were unable to follow the story, as we could not hear the words of the songs, especially the Elvis impersonator as Pharaoh, the Joseph brothers and Potiphar & his wife. Why was the production trivialised by having the Pharaoh demeaned by a comic figure and having the brothers sing with a French accent? Its the worst West End show we have ever seen.
