King Lear Set To Receive A Live Broadcast


The Chichester Festival Theatre production of King Lear is making its West End transfer this July at the Duke of York's theatre. The full cast has now been announced with many of the previous cast members returning to reprise their roles. Joining Ian McKellen, who will be playing King Lear, is Sinéad Cusack as Kent and Danny Webb as Gloucester. New cast members include James Corrigan as Edmund, Anthony Howell as Albany, Claire Price as Goneril, Daniel Rabin as Cornwall, Scott Sparrow as Albany's Man, Luke Thompson as Edgar and Anita-Joy Uwajeh as Cordelia.


The production is also set to receive a live broadcast to cinemas both nationwide and internationally on Thursday 27 September. The production is only set for a strictly limited run of only 100 performance from July 11.
