The actors did their best
I read a review in the Guardian that was so glowing I decided to give this a go. It was truly terrible. Lots of people left at the interval and towards the end people weren’t even trying to disguise their cringing laughter. The story is baffling, the repeated woke teaching moments lack any subtlety, and even some of the acting felt at times like a school production. The outdoor theatre is a redeeming feature.
Very disappointed
I hate to leave a bad review as I know people work hard on these productions but it was terrible. Confusing and incoherent,. The music was disjointed and jarring, very down beat as was the singing. The woke agenda was on full display as every effort was made to portray the black female characters as the heroes and as Robin Hood. I'm all for a dvierse cast but they really go overboard in this one. There were a few good performances from the Sheriff and Gisburne. Don't waste your hard earned money on this. I wanted to ask for a refund..
