Saw production last night. Was stunning. Excellent performances by actors - completely draws you into the story and left me with tears in my eyes! Lots of swearing so not really suitable for kids. We had seat at back of stalls and had good view. It was a very powerful production (with very effective sets and lighting) and I urge everyone to go and see it! Ten out of ten.

Its rare to have little clapping throughout the performance, The actors made the whole audience engaged with fine acting and comedy from start to finsh. What a show, standing ovation at the end. No weak links in the cast. Very happy.

This was better than the book or the film. We loved it; good acting professional production and deserving of the applause at the end.

Seen the film three times but I found the theatre production more intimate and I felt like part of the story. Enjoyed the "shocking" scenes, much stronger than the film. Left the beautiful Wyndam Theatre on a cloud. Shame it was not full. I found it much more fulfilling than the musicals I have seen.

great direction, set design, acting -- no weakness at all -- a new take on the story-- not the movie at all--more raw and intimate-- probably better put together than the film-- a lesson for professionals in the theater as well as theater goers --
