STORYLINE WEAK

Not my cup of tea at all. Not keen on storyline and too 'sickly,' and predictable. Lovely singing voices and can understand how children might like it. Didn't hold my attention and couldn't understand demanding ovation.

THESE WERE RED SHOES THEY COULDNT FILL.

I have been a long time fan of wicked and was immensely looking forward to this show. The songs, the set design, the costumes, the story, all of that was as amazing as i had hoped they would be. The vocals of both Elpheba and Glinda were top notch. Unfortunately thats where the good bits stop. Elphie seemed stuck in singing mode and couldnt really nail the line deliveries that were spoken. The ensamble sung in such a way that it was hard to hear what was being sung. And fiyero, oh dear lord was he bad. His vocals shot all over the place while singing and his acting was stiff. It was like he was too bored to really act. Other than the occasional twirl he couldnt dance either. The terrible acting of nearly everyone ruined the show. Hopefully they decide on a carreer change because theatre is clearly not for them. Glinda however, at least had some skills. But not even she could save this utter disaster. My advice? Wait for a change in cast before going.

WICKED......DISAPPOINTED. :(

I have been to many a musical in London, mainly, but also outside of the capital. From South Pacific, many years ago that captured me. Les Miserables...fantastic. Aspects of Love....nice. Phantom.......great, but not as spectacular a performance the night we went. Blood Brothers.....truly fantastic and my favourite...seen a number of times. Whistle Down the Wind.... nice. Mama Mia....great! Miss Saigon.....seen more than once. Lovely. Ghost......nice. Jersey Boys.... lovely. However, being advised by friends, last night I was so looking forward to Wicked. Neither my wife or I were captivated. But stuck through it. Although after the interval.....a number of people in front and behind our row.... never returned to their seats...... I was still hoping for something to capture my enthusiasm. But it didn't do it for me. Sorry. It still received a standing ovation from quite a few. So I must have missed something.

SHOW IS OK BUT

Have just returned from the "Wicked" matinee of 7 January 2009. Iwas certainly impressed by the two leading ladies and the story was interesting & quirky; BUT, & I know this is the coldest London winter for some time, but the front stalls were an ice pit. Most patrons, including myself had to keep their coats, hats & gloves on throughout. It certainly affected my ability to enjoy the performance as, I am sure, it did for others. Management did not even aqpologise or explain the reason for this state of affairs!! Some PR skills needed?

HALF A SHOW

June 2009, I think the show was good but unfortunately feel I only managed to see half of it. I am NOT a short person but I was sitting in F27 and had a man of average height sitting in front of me. The result; I was unable to see centre stage at all and had to weave from side to side to follow the performance. I felt I had to apologise to the lady sitting behind me who said she was following me as she couldn't see either! Very, very poor value for the high price tickets. It really spoiled the show for me and therefore could not recommend it to anyone. If the show moves theatre would go and see it again.

LACKLUSTRE RUBBISH

I was deeply disappointed with this show. It didn't live up to the hype at all. Thank God I received discounted tickets as I would have been very very upset to have paid full price for this feeble & lacklustre show. Even my 11 year old daughter was unimpressed. Save your money & go to see Hirspary or Legally Blonde instead whcih are both fantastic.

DONT BOTHER

My husband and I go to the theatre often, went to see wicked Tuesday evening Nov 2013 what a load of rubbish paid £138.00 for two tickets wish I'd spent it on something else. Slow boring and silly story. Kids might like it. wouldn't recommend it for good night out although The pub down the road The Albert serves lovely food saved our night out.

What we thought

MESMERISING breathtaking Delightful

Wicked provides the perfect escape from reality

Judging from the standing ovation given at the end of the show and the throngs of emerald fans disappearing daily through those emerald doors, Wicked's spell shows no sign of abating.
