BACKSTAIRS BILLY
I went to see Backstairs Billy last night. The show was fabulous. Luke Evans and Penelope Wilton were great together. The theatre was stunning and we came up with big smiles on our faces after a wonderful evening. Well worth seeing.

GOOD OLD FASHIONED SIT COM
It was a joy to watch this comedy, a good old fashioned sit com with plenty of laughs and brilliant comedy timing from Luke Evans and Penelope Wilton. Brilliant entertainment

IT'S EXCELLENT FOR WHAT IT IS-A LIGHT COMEDY CREATED TO ENTERTAIN
I've just seen the show tonight and I had a fabulous time. It's a light comedy with witty dialogue and social commentary with an excellent cast across the board. I've seen some reviews criticizing how light this play is, but I disagree-this is supposed to be a comedy and not a drama, it doesn't need more gravitas, it's just supposed to make you laugh and if it's that what you wish for, it won't disappoint!

EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE!
Saw Backstairs Billy last night and wow, absolutely brilliant, funny, amazing cast.....also first time watching from a box....Luke Evans and Penelope Wilton led the cast in a wonderful final night performance, and a well deserved standing ovation, thank you for a wonderful night....x

OLD-FASHIONED CREAKY VEHICLE
there was a flash of interest when QM got a little cruel at the end and it seemed to be veering towards the interesting examination of class and sexuality it could have been. But otherwise very safe star vehicle. The stars did well, especially Wilton, but deserved much better material.

entertaining WITTY AND WORTHWHILE
Luke Evans really makes this show shine. Not even to be upstaged by a pair of real life corgis, he imbues Billy with verve and wit
Cast out to her dotage following the death of her husband and her daughter's ascension, life for Her Majesty at Clarence House is akin to a lavish snow globe, relating with her staff far more frequently than her busy family.
