A refreshing and relatable emotional roller coaster. Spontaneous applause in scenes as they were just so good and really funny. Yet moving and thought provoking. Incredible cast who were brilliant together.

5.0 star rating Greta Hammond from London, England

The scathing reviews are mostly from men for whom the message must have hit a little too close to home and pushed some buttons. There’s also some criticism that suggest some of the reviewers didn’t actually see the play. This is a relevant and masterfully drawn story destined to become a modern classic.

5.0 star rating James from London, England

One of the most refreshing, bold, hilarious, moving new plays to hit the West End in a long, long time. Feels like an instant classic. It must have really touched a nerve with establishment critics and they clearly haven’t bothered to notice the rollicking good time the audience is having throughout. Critics keep propping up the white male writers while finding every opportunity to tear down the female writers, assuming they don’t know what they’re doing. This playwright knows exactly what she’s doing so brilliantly and it’s clearly a threat to the patriarchal status quo.

The reviewers didn’t get it. My friend and I hadn’t seen a play that resonated so profoundly on a variety of levels in memory. So pleased I saw it.

5.0 star rating Kate Kary from London, England

It was amazing. Nearly 3 hours and I didn't feel a moment that it was too much. The audience was spontaneously laughing all the time. It felt that everyone in the theatre enjoyed it. I was so confused with all those bad critics. After thinking about it, I realised that what the play did was that it raised a mirror to all those people who think that when women are expressing a different opinion are always overdramatic, or oversensitive or it is their hormones, not their minds that drives them. Well, no, women have brains. And opinions. And what you didn't like when you watched this play was your reflection in that mirror. And indeed, nothing really changed after #metoo era for women in their homes and works. The production was also great. The casting was amazing, as expected. I especially liked Chris, she was filling the stage with her presence even on her silent moments.

5.0 star rating Cheryl from London, England

Having read the reviews for a play I had impulsively purchased tickets for months ago, I went reluctantly along to the Harold Pinter with low expectations. Either the script has been rewritten, the actors have settled in to their parts or I am easily amused. It was refreshing, light, and funny with some serious undertones. The spectators could take a leaf out of their book...

I had heard the play had bad reviews so was a little concerned but I thought the play was terrific. Brilliant acting, a; interesting plot and a great mixture of humour and sadness. I’d definitely recommend.
