Why See Bluets?
Here Is A Song For You
Adapted by Margaret Perry from Maggie Nelson's genre-defying prose poem Bluets and directed by Katie Mitchell, join Emma D'Arcy, Ben Wishaw and Kayla Meikle as they translate this meditation of pain, grief and heartbreak inspired by the colour blue this spring at the Royal Court.
Long associated with depression and sadness, the colour has often inspired artists in the depths of personal struggle and torment. Reflecting on the work of creators including Joni Mitchell, Derek Jarman, Andy Warhol and Bille Holiday, expect an enthralling and philosophical night at the theatre, one that is likely to stick with you long after you leave the auditorium.
