The Wizard of Oz Reviews

Just left tonight’s show. Absolutely loved it!!! I disagree with all of these reviews. It was fantastic. Jason was amazing and so funny!!! The tin man standing in for Ashley was great and the whole thing was uplifting and full of energy! No one left where we were sitting. The last show we saw a few weeks ago was Ben Elton’s woke version of we will rock you. Now THAT show was like a school play!! We loved Wizard and we’ll be back again before the end of the run. Sorry guys!!

If I'd relied on the reviews that I'd seen about this show, I wouldn't had gone. However, I am so glad I went. I had a wonderful experience - the cast is fabulous - scarecrow, tin man and lion are brilliant. I really enjoyed the show.

WIZARDRY IN OZ
Jason Manford's performance in 'The Wizard of Oz' at the London Palladium was truly captivating. His comedic timing and charismatic presence added an engaging layer to the classic tale. The production itself was a visual delight, with impressive sets and costumes that brought the magical world of Oz to life. Manford's portrayal of the Cowardly Lion was both endearing and hilarious, earning him well-deserved laughs and applause from the audience. His chemistry with the rest of the cast, including Dorothy and her companions, contributed to the overall charm of the show. While staying true to the heart of the original story, Manford's interpretation added a fresh and enjoyable twist to the timeless production."

I was rapt from the very beginning. Dorothy has a wonderful singing voice and stage presence. Jason Manford was amazing as the cowardly lion and had everyone laughing. We attended the signed performance, where the BSL interpreter was absolutely brilliant! Jason Manford tried to involve her at times, which was really amusing. Ashley Banjo was very good in my opinion; please remember he is a dancer/choreographer, not a singer. I thought his singing and acting were impressive and he played a convincing part. I would 100% recommend going to see this, as it is fun entertainment for the whole family.

Just returned from the final show and thought it was fabulous, the cast were all brilliant and Dorothy had a beautiful.voice as did the whole cast. The puppeteer that worked toto was brilliant , and you really ended up believing he was a real dog. Think the people that gave this show 1 star must have been watching a different show

GREAT CAST, LOVELY SHOW
Jason Manford as the cowardly lion was outstanding and made everyone laugh with his comic acting. He has a great singing voice too. Ashley Banjo was also very good, as was Gary Wilmot. Thought Dorothy should have been played by someone who looked younger. Overall a very entertaining show.

A COLOURFUL NIGHT OF MUSICAL FUN.
Costumes and staging were visually engaging. The casting of Ashley Banjo as the Tin Man was perfect , he did a great job making his West End debut. The smallest member of the cast , besides Toto , was Charlotte St Croix , a short but sassy solo gave us a taste of her star quality. I believe she is understudying Dorothy , I will buy tickets to see it again if she takes the lead. A fun night of colour , humour and song .
