Why see Richard Alston: Triple Bill?
Featuring a new work by Alston!
Richard Alston and his dance company return to Sadlers Wells with an exciting triple-bill lineup that includes a brand-new work, Chacony. Inspired by the powerful Chaconne of Henry Purcell, and the later tribute by Britten's String Quartet No.2, the two pieces of music are used together by Alston to explore darkness and the light of humanity. This work will be accompanied by Martin Lawrance's Tangent, where four couples dance the tango exotically. This is rounded off by Alston's popular Gypsy Mixture, a celebration of Romanian and Macedonian gypsy bands that will lift your soul.
