Located in St. Martin's Lane, the London Coliseum is one of the biggest family variety theatres in London. It was opened in 1904 and was designed by architect Frank Matcham with the intention of the venue being one of the finest music halls for entertainment. Until 1968, the venue was used for a range of events including film screenings, musical comedies, plays and variety shows. Sadler's Wells Opera Company (now the English National Opera) took over the venue in 1968, and along with the English National Ballet, the venue is used primarily for opera.

One of London's most famous theatres, the London Palladium, is West End theatre located on Argyll Street, and since 1960 has been a Grade II listed building. The venue started out as a host for variety events and pantomimes, and has gone on to stage a wide variety of events each year. The theatre has been host to the Royal Variety Performance for 40 years. Really Useful Theatres took over the ownership of the venue in 2000.

Opened in 1888, The Lyric was the second theatre to be completed along Shaftesbury Avenue and now boasts the distinction of being the street's oldest surviving resident and the only theatre still using a manually operated hydraulic pump to open its curtain. Originally seating 1,306 (they liked to pack 'em in back in the day) the auditorium now seats 967, No ghosts are reported, but there is the slightly disturbing fact the building encompasses a house dating back to 1766, that was used as part residence, part museum and part anatomical theatre of one Dr. William Hunter. This facade can still be seen on the theatre’s Windmill Street exit, where the dressing rooms are located.
