Jonathan Pryce And Eileen Atkins Are 'Magnetic' In The Height Of The Storm

Currently playing at the Wyndham's Theatre

Two acting heavyweights joined forces at the Wyndham's Theatre last night, as Florian Zeller's The Height of the Storm opened at the West End venue. The production sees the two acting legends combine their acting might for the first time in this intriguing drama.

Awarding the production four stars, The Guardian called the award-winning duo as 'magnetic' and finishing with 'What I can say for certain is that Zeller’s play penetrates the memory long after one has left the theatre'. The Stage was also full of praise, dubbing it as 'disorientating and melancholic' adding, '...it pinpoints that sense of unsteadiness that comes from seeing a once formidable parent diminished by age, the pain of the things left unsaid, the arguments unresolved, and it has a disorientating, melancholic quality that's genuinely moving'. The Time mirrored this sentiment with 'Jonathan Pryce is stunning and Eileen Atkins excels'.

The Height of the Storm is directed by Jonathan Kent and also stars Amanda Drew, Anna Madeley, James Hillier and Lucy Cohu.
