As you probably know The Prince of Egypt is adapted from the two time Academy Awards nominee film of the same name. With music from the man behind musical hits such as Wicked, Pippin and Godspell, Stephen Schwartz, The Prince of Egypt is a sumptuous story of family, friendship and the pursuit of freedom.
The Prince of Egypt will feature the songs we know and love from the 1998 film including the Oscar-winning song "When You Believe", which was adapted into a number one single by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey! Taking on the task of performing such a mammoth hit will be the show's two leading ladies, Christine Allado as Tzipporah and Alexia Khadime as Miriam. In the performance on Thursday morning these two talented women brought the house down with their rendition, and we can't wait to see them perform it live in the Dominion Theatre!

Rising star Luke Brady will take on the role of Moses with West End favourite Liam Tamne starring as his Pharaoh brother Ramses. There are ten brand new songs in addition to the our current favourites, one of which will be shared by Brady and Tamne, and will allow the audience a deeper look into the connection that the brothers hold.
Directing The Prince of Egypt will be Scott Schwartz, who recently directed the Disney mounting of The Hunchback of Notre Dame and is the Artistic Director of the renowned Bay Street Theater in New York.
