Steve Coogan boards Dr. Strangelove

One of the country's biggest comedy legends joins the world premiere stage adaptation of Stanley Kubrick's seminal film, adapted by Armando Iannucci

Adding to the anticipation of the upcoming stage adaptation of Stanley Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove (or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb), comes the news that Alan Patridge himself will be stepping into the shoes filled so fantastically by Peter Sellers in the film.

Joining the previously announced creative team of fellow Brass Eye alums, writer Armando Iannucci (also In The Thick of It, Veep, The Death of Stalin) and directed Sean Foley (also The Play What I Wrote) the news of Coogan's casting will be fascinating to fans, who can be sure the show is in the safest of hands and the most talented comedy voices of the last three decades. Perhaps someone can convince Chris Morris to make a cameo?

Tickets on sale soon, further casting and creatives to be announced.
