Alicia Vikander and Andrew Lincoln Set to Lead Ibsen's The Lady From The Sea

In a striking new production of Henrik Ibsen's The Lady From The Sea, starring alongside The Walking Dead's Andrew Lincoln. The play will run for a strictly limited nine-week engagement at the Bridge Theatre, under the direction of acclaimed theatre Director Simon Stone!
What's The Story?
Known for his contemporary reworkings of classic texts (Yerma, Phaedra), Stone makes his Bridge debut with this reinterpretation of Ibsen's The Lady From The Sea, which bridges the gap between the playwright's realist dramas such as A Doll's House and Ghosts, and the more symbolic, introspective style of his later works, including The Master Builder and When We Dead Awaken.
Inspired in part by Ibsen's own coastal upbringing in the port town of Skien and his fascination with the sea, the play is set against the backdrop of a remote coastal town and follows Ellida (Vikander), a woman grappling with the quiet suffocation of domestic life and the reappearance of a past love that threatens to upend everything. Torn between duty and desire, Ellida must confront the choices that define her - and the ones she never made.
