Our Top Picks: The Best Shows To See This February

Here is a list of our top picks for the month ahead!

Now we have made it through an incredibly cold and dark January, it's time to get back out into the magic of London and experience the best performances our historic city has to offer. Here at Theatreland, we love letting you know our favorite shows, so let's get stuck in with our top picks for February!

A Mirror - Book Here

Get out your hats, or pin a corsage to your button-hole as you become guests at the wedding of Joel and Leyla! However, this isn't a regular wedding, taking place under a dictatorship where censorship reigns supreme, and creativity is crushed at every possible juncture, this walk to the altar is a guaranteed mind-bender. Starring Jonny Lee Miller and Tanya Reynolds, this dystopian psychological powerhouse is a show you will never forget.

Les Miserables - Book Here

Seen by an audience of over 70 million people, it's safe to say that Les Miserables is the world's most popular musical. In the nearly 40 years since its premiere, Claude Schonberg and Alain Boublil's musical adaptation of Victor Hugo's doorstop of a novel has become the benchmark of musical theatre. An epic score, passionate story, and phenomenal scale are part of the magic, but it's truly the wonder of seeing a live performance that does it the most justice. Playing throughout February at the Sondheim Theatre, this iconic show is a must-see!

Cruel Intentions - Book Here

With TimeOut describing the performance as "laugh-out-loud funny", this newly staged musical is based on the classic French novel, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, and the hit 1999 film starring Sarah Michelle Gellar and Reese Witherspoon. Cruel Intentions is a '90s throwback, including the nostalgic hits from the original soundtrack like "Love Fool," "Just A Girl," and, of course, "Bittersweet Symphony." It's an intoxicating musical that's intentionally cruel. This dark yet humorous musical is perfect for fans of dark stories with brilliant comic elements.
