Relive the greatest live event in history with Just For One Day - the Live Aid musical and experience the electrifying atmosphere as the music of the greats roars to life! 1.5 billion people watched and listened as the sun set over Wembley Stadium, and starting today (February 13) at London's Old Vic Theatre, you get a chance to witness the same kind of magic.
We can be heroes! Featuring the songs of David Bowie, The Who, Queen, The Police, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Diana Ross, and more - Just For One Day recounts the extraordinary day of Live Aid, where 70 musicians came together and performed to 1.5 billion people. During an era of social change, political upheaval, and economic distress, Live Aid showed the power of music as a unifying influence, and the resilience of the human spirit.
This new musical is written by John O'Farrell (Mrs. Doubtfire, Something Rotten!) and directed by Luke Sheppard (& Juliet, The Little Big Things). The creative team, in addition to O'Farrell and Sheppard, includes music supervisor, arranger, and orchestrator Matthew Brind, choreographer Ebony Molina, set designer Soutra Gilmour, costume designer Fay Fullerton, lighting designer Howard Hudson, sound designer Gareth Owen, video and animation designer Andrzej Goulding, and casting director Stuart Burt.
The cast members of Just For One Day in London include Julie Atherton, Ashley Campbell, Jackie Clune, Craige Els, James Hameed, Naomi Katiyo, Hope Kenna, Freddie Love, Emily Ooi, Rhys Wilkinson, Jason Battersby, Cassiopeia Berkeley-Agyepong, Olly Dobson, Joe Edgar, Kerry Enright, Jo Foster, Collette Guitart, Eddie Mann, AJ Lewis, Joel Montague, Rachel Moran, Abiona Omonua, Jack Shalloo, Danielle Steers, Tamara Tare, and Dyd Wynford.
