Michael Ball Is Headed To The Chocolate Factory!
We can't wait to get our golden ticket!
Come with Michael B, and you'll be in a world of pure imagination! Michael Ball is back on stage at the London Coliseum as Willy Wonka in a brand-new production of the quintessentially sweet West End classic, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Playing from 4 June to 18 September 2027, following its run at Curve in Leicester.
Based on Roald Dahl's beloved classic and directed by Curve Artistic Director Nikolai Foster, the production marks the show's return after its previous run at Theatre Royal Drury Lane from 2013 to 2017. You can expect a brand-new take on the story, with music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, and iconic songs including "Pure Imagination", "The Candy Man" and "I've Got a Golden Ticket".
A West End Legend
Michael Ball has been lighting up the West End since making his debut as Marius in Les Misrables in 1985. A two-time Olivier Award winner, he's also starred in Hairspray, Sweeney Todd, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Chess and The Phantom of the Opera, as well as representing the UK at Eurovision.
