As far as I could see, every person in the theatre gave the cast a standing ovation for their performances in both parts 1 and 2., and deservedly so. The script was funny, sad, incredibly moving and very witty. It integrated literature, history, culture and politics seamlessly and insightfully. It is hard to find words that do justice to this amazing piece of theatre. Catch it if you can although you will be lucky if you can get seats. Despite the lack of press reviews word of mouth seems to have spread.

You must see see this play!!!

I think this play is of the most important plays written in this century. It is NOT trying to copy Angels in America but rather is the post-AIDS response from the next generations of gay men that followed who are trying desperately to tell their story but not forgetting the hard fought path that came before them. It is not just TRYING to tell that story, it is doing so in a way that was most unexpected and touched me deeply. It is so well written and clever and will no doubt become a film as well. This is the best new play I have seen in the last 10 years gay or otherwise and a much needed postscript to 35 years of suffering and hatred. This is a play that just must be seen. WOW!
