Why see The Comeuppance?
Equally amusing as it is thought-provoking, The Comeuppance is the new cutting satire from the masterminds of renowned director Eric Ting and writer Branden Jacobs-Jenkins. It asks the age-old question: how do we break free from our past selves, and is liberation from our former identities even possible? Kicking off London's Almeida Theatre's 2024 season, this is one you don't want to miss!
About The Comeuppance
Consequences catch up with us, and poor decisions come to light. In the autumn of 2022, a circle of friends reunites before their high school reunion. Two decades have passed since they graduated: some have started families, others have travelled far from home, and a few have experienced the horrors of war. However, there's an additional presence among them...and as they reconnect and recall old memories, wounds from their school days slowly begin to reopen.
