Why see The Buddha of Suburbia?

London Transfer

The stage adaptation of Hanif Kureishi's award winning novel The Buddha Of Suburbia is staged by the Royal Shakespeare Company in London this autumn! The 1990 story followed Karim Amar, a young mixed race man living amidst the backdrop of the turbulent late seventies in London.

Despite tumultuous social conditions, the 17-year-old Karim has to steer his way through as he comes of age, finding his way towards self-discovery and the quest for belonging in an ultimately joyful tale adapted for stage by Wise Children and the RSC. Directed by Emma Rice, be sure to snap up your tickets for this play!
