Everyone knows the story of Romeo and Juliet, boy meets girl, they fall in love and then the play ends with the pair both dead. But, what if Romeo and Juliet survived? This is what award-winning dance company, Lost Dog have been exploring with their new re-imagining of Shakespeare's classic. In this humorous and heartfelt show, the audience explore love, loss and longevity.
Formed in 2004 Lost Dog aim to create pieces that are both theatre and dance combined. Working with text, live music and movement Lost Dog blend these elements to create dance sequences that are framed by character and stories.
Juliet and Romeo: A guide to long life and happy marriage is part of the Battersea Arts Centre's Reclaiming The Classics series, which takes classic tales, from Shakespeare to Beckett and turns them on their head.
