A Son, A Secret, And The Truth About His Mother

Following its 2024 concert presentations at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Wild About You will receive its first full London production at Charing Cross Theatre, running from 18 January to 10 April 2027! With a book by Dani Stoller and music and lyrics by Chilina Kennedy, the score leans into the storytelling tradition of Joni Mitchell and Carole King, shaped by folk, pop, country-pop and soul.

What's The Story?

On the day of his high school graduation party, Billy is already feeling unsure about where his life is heading. That changes when he finds a trunk of letters written to him by his late mother - who he was always told had left him when he was a child.

With his best friend Scoot by his side, Billy starts to piece together the story of who she really was, and why she might not have been gone from his life in the way he believed. The more he uncovers, the more he begins to understand not just his mother, but himself too.
