Jack and the Beanstalk

I must preface this review by saying that this is not a family friendly panto, please do not take children to see this show. Now that that warning is out of the way... I've never laughed so much at a panto.

Why see Jack and the Beanstalk?
Drag And The Beanstalk!
Purveyors of drag pantomime TuckShop bring their latest annual panto extravaganza to the Emerald Theatre! For this year's edition, it's a fabulous, outrageous, and incredibly rude take on the festive staple Jack and the Beanstalk, starring Drag Race UK winner Bones as Jack, alongside Kitty Scott-Claus, Kyran Thrax, Rosé, Kate Butch, Dairy King, Yshee Black, Cheryl Hole and Ophelia Love, with the giant played by a rotating cast of special guest performers. Written by Crudi Dench, Kate Butch and Eleanor Mason and directed by Christopher D. Clegg, get ready to embark on a magical adventure with just a little bit more sparkle, innuendo, and naughtiness than you're used to! This is definitely not for children.
What Is The Story?
A true classic of the panto repertoire, Jack and the Beanstalk is the story of young buck Jack, who, despite being best mates with a cow, decides to sell him. And not only that, instead of coming up with some decent cash, the silly boy comes back with a handful of beans, much to his mother's chagrin. But after chucking them out, overnight something massive and thick grows upwards, begging to be climbed. What opulent treasures might be found up there? Find out in this hilarious drag take on the classic panto!
