Bug

Bug at Found111

Why see Bug?

2oth anniversary production!

James Norton and Kate Fleetwood star in Found 111's brand new revival of Tracy Betts' Bug, about the relationship between Agnes, a lonely cocktail waitress hidden away from her abusive ex-husband in a run-down motel, and Peter, a seemingly similarly neurotic lost soul.

Premiering in 1996, Bug is a sometimes witty, always thought provoking look at paranoia, love and conspiracy theories as the strange couple find themselves drawn deeper into a shared madness, unable to tell fact from fiction, reality from delusion.

James Norton has rarely been off our screens in recent times, from the titular role in Grantchester to a criminal Happy Valley to the hot and sad Prince Andrei in War and Peace. Kate Fleetwood is an Olivier award-winning actress who's also been building a high profile, with starring roles in Medea and cameos in Star Wars and the above War and Peace.

Do you feel itchy? The story of Bug

Holed up in seedy old motel, Agnes is on the run from her ex-husband who's just got out of prison. On a diet of drink and narcotics, she is introduced to Peter, an AWOL Gulf War veteran. Peter has his own mania, believing himself to have been experimented on by the government, his bloodstream full of aphids. In addition to his insect contaminated blood, he is obsessed by conspiracy theories. Lonely Agnes is immediately drawn to into his paranoia and the two begin a slow descent into insanity.
