Why see A Profoundly Affectionate, Passionate Devotion to Someone (Noun)?

The new play by debbie tucker green

Modernist playwright debbie tucker green (lower-case preferred!) returns to the Royal Court Theatre with a brand-new play, which she will also direct. A deep introspection into human relationships, "A Profoundly Affectionate.." examines three couples who face a crossroads in each of their relationships as they consider their past, and the possibilities of the path not taken. green's previous works include Born Bad, for which she won the 2004 Olivier Award for Most Promising Newcomer as well as an indie film Second Coming in 2014 starring Idris Elba.

A regular playwright at both Royal Court Theatre and the Young Vic where her stage plays have been produced, green's last play at the Royal Court was Hang, where she explored a possible future in which the victim of a crime is the final arbiter of the sentence, rather than the justice system.
