London Musical Theatre Orchestra: A Christmas Carol
The LMTO's A Christmas Carol is back by popular demand!
What is so refreshing with seeing a concert version of the show is that it still has as much sparkle as a full scale production.

The LMTO's A Christmas Carol is back by popular demand!
After sell-out performances of A Christmas Carol last year, LMTO are back with the festive family classic with some very famous faces taking on this concert version of the all-time Christmas bonanza. Robert Lindsay will return to play the coveted role of Ebenezer Scrooge and is sure to get you in the mood for all this Christmas!
A concert version of Alan Menken's musical, which gained vast popularity in the states, debuted last year at the Lyceum to critical acclaim as well as country-wide audience approval.
Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, Marley and of course Scrooge will all be there as well as the LMTO accompanying them with beautiful musicianship, making it the heart-warming Christmas event of the year when it plays at the Lyceum Theatre on the 11th and the 18th of December.
Ebenezer Scrooge doesn't see the point of letting his employees have a day off for Christmas, not even kind Bob Cratchit, who's son Tiny Tim is very sick. Eventually, he is convinced and retires to his room to pass Christmas Eve as he usually does, alone. But this Christmas is different. He has a visitor for a change, the wretched soul of his former business partner Jacob Marley. Doomed to wander the earth for eternity for his sins in life, Marley warns Scrooge of three impeding visitations by a trio of spirits.
First he meets the gentle Ghost of Christmas Past who shows him as a happy young man, the jolly Ghost of Christmas Present, who shows him what he is missing out on, and the terrifying Ghost of Christmas to Come, who shows him his future if he doesn't mend his ways; all of whom want to teach him a lesson about how his actions affect others, and ultimately, his own fate.
