The Wanderers
Anna Ziegler returns with a poignant new love story
I'm thrilled that The Wanderers is making its London debut at Marylebone Theatre. The play is about connection how fragile it can be, how surprising it can be and I can't think of a better, more culturally diverse city to ask these questions in.

Anna Ziegler returns with a poignant new love story
Following an Off-Broadway debut, Anna Ziegler's new play comes to London this autumn, premiering at the Marylebone Theatre. Painting a sympathetic portrait of love and connection in the modern age, the story follows two couples, very different in background and class; one, an Orthodox Jewish couple who enter into an arranged marriage; the other is a pair of high-profile, high-drama celebrities who flirt outrageously on social media. Despite being married to other people. But what connects this seemingly polar opposite pair of couples in love? The answer just may surprise you.
Ziegler's work has been lauded by critics and audiences alike; the most shining praise came from The New York Times, which said of her plays, "Ms. Ziegler's quietly lyrical language has a luminous beauty, and her talent for creating characters whose complicated depths are just visible on their surfaces is still more remarkable." Her 2015 success in London's West End saw Nicole Kidman claim the coveted Evening Standard Award for Best Actress in Photograph 51.
Please note: The producers can't guarantee the appearance of any performers on any specific date.
