Silver Lining

Sisters, literally doing it for themselves!
Why see Silver Lining?
The new play by Sandi Toksvig
A new comedy by comedian, broadcaster and writer Sandi Toksvig makes its world premiere at the Rose Theatre! Set in a storm-ravaged, flood-threatened care home, Silver Lining follows the evening of a group of five elderly but feisty ladies who are awaiting a rescue that seems never to come. After trading immersive stories of their individual lives, they come to the joint conclusion that literally NOBODY is coming for them. So they do what they do best - rolling up their sleeves and rescuing themselves! Sisters, literally doing it for themselves!
Armed with a remarkable resolve and steely determination to make their very own Great Escape, the ladies (played by Sheila Reid, Joanna Monro, Amanda Walker, Rachel Davies, Maggie McCarthy) team up and also try the patience of their care assistants, played by Keziah Joseph and Theo Toksvig-Stewart! A wonderful new comedy that pays respect to our older generation, as well as celebrating resourcefulness and wartime spirit!
