Chroma - Mixed Bill

Chroma - Mixed Bill at Royal Opera House

Why see Chroma - Mixed Bill?

Wayne McGregor celebrates 10 years at Royal Ballet!

Now celebrating 10 years of Wayne McGregor's tenure at the Royal Ballet as Resident Choreographer, this special gala evening sees three works by the eminent dance creator, including a brand-new work for 2016 in a collaboration with composer Steve Reich, to celebrate the latter's 80th birthday. The evening kicks off with McGregor's Chroma, followed by Carbon Life, before concluding with his brand-new work.

Chroma has been described as a celebration of the human body and its ability to communicate emotions and thought through movement. Combining modern music by Joby Talbot and arrangements by rock band The White Stripes, the whole spectacle is rounded off by a minimalist set design by architect John Pawson. Carbon Life is even more an exercise in modernity with music by producers Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt and showcases the symbiotic relationship between pop music and fashion.
