This new musical based on the 1991 film of the same name starring River Phoenix premieres at the Southwark Playhouse. Set in November 1963, three Marines about to be deployed to Vietnam group together for one last hedonistic night on the town. But when one of them, Birdlace, encounters a sweet and unassuming barmaid called Rose as part of a cruel drinking game, she sees straight through it, but opens his eyes to the important things in life.

Although Rose is resigned never to see him again once he leaves, Birdlace can't seem to forget about her. Will they ever meet again? And will he take the lessons she taught him seriously, or forget her once he starts fighting?

Dogfight first premiered Off-Broadway in 2012, and won the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Musical, and also nominated for five Outer Critics Circle and two Drama Desk Awards.
