All That Dazzles
A West End transfer for this biting farce!
A West End transfer for this biting farce!
Dario Fo's 1970 farce makes its way to the West End this summer, following a highly acclaimed run over at the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith. A biting satire of police corruption following the titular 'accidental death' of a known anarchist, it's up to one man, known only as The Maniac, to discover the truth.
Adapted by Tom Basden and starring Daniel Rigby and Tony Gardner, this co-production from the lyric Hammersmith and Sheffield Theatres sees the text receive a prescient modern update, reflecting the current climate of fear and mistrust in the nation's police.
What is the story?
An anarchist has fallen from a police station window. Or was he pushed? To discover the truth, The Manaic infiltrates the investigation, highlighting hypocrisy, lies, and more as his quick wit outsmarts the police at every turn in this riotous and relevant production!

Tony Gardner as Superintendent Curry
Tom Andrews as Detective Daisy
Mark Hadfield as Inspector Burton
Ro Kumar as Agent Joseph
Ruby Thomas as Fi Phelan/PC Jackson
With
