Stage Adaptation comes to the West End
David Nicholls’ much loved novel makes its transition to the West End stage, in One Day The Musical! Adapted by playwright David Greig, the production features a score composed by Johnnyswim’s Abner and Amanda Ramirez, with contributions from Freya Catrin Smith. Tony and Olivier Award-winning director Max Webster (Life of Pi) helms a production which stars Jamie Muscato (Moulin Rouge!) as Dexter and Sharon Rose (Hamilton) as Emma.
What Is The Story?
One Day chronicles the winding, two decade trajectory of Emma and Dexter, beginning with their graduation night on St. Swithun's Day, 1988. Rather than a conventional linear romance, the narrative checks in on the pair on that exact same summer date every year, charting their growth from idealistic young graduates into adulthood as their two lives remain inextricably tethered through life's twists and turns.
