Why See Bat Out Of Hell?
The Olivier-nominated Bat is back!
Crack out those leathers, this hard-rocking musical epic is coming back to London in 2018, giving you a second chance to have your mind blown by the ingenious fusion of Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman's incredible record with all the spectacle musical theatre can muster.
Previously showing at the London Coliseum and winner of the Best Musical Award at the 2017 Evening Standard Theatre Awards, this rollicking production will take up residence at The Dominion Theatre (along with og stars Andrew Polec and Christine Bennington), continuing the rock musical tradition of the venue, as set by long-time incumbent We Will Rock You.
In fact, fans of the latter will find themselves right at home in this tale of a dystopian Manhattan presided over by a Trump-like figure, Falco. At the bottom of his shimmering tower live a group called The Lost, a bunch of rock and roll rebels who stopped aging at 18. In a whirlwind of shining chrome, spray-on jeans and Doc Martens, their leader Strat falls for his enemy's daughter, the innocent Raven, begining a fantastic romance that sizzles and blooms through the unforgettable score.
So if you're looking for paradise by the theatre lights, you can't go wrong with this high-octane balls to the wall experience.

Watkins has a rare capacity for playing outsiders, and while he doesn't exactly excite sympathy for Ralph, he increases our understanding, which, after all, is Lavery's ultimate intention.
