I laughed my brains out
Lin-Manuel Miranda
A loving send-up of a certain musical mega-hit currently wowing audiences over at the Victoria Palace Theatre from the minds behind Forbidden Broadway, Gerard Alessandrini's hilarious hit Spamilton takes its own West End bow this summer.
Running off Broadway since 2016, Spamilton takes on its subject matter with glee, casting Hamilton writer and original star Lin-Manuel Miranda centre stage as he sets out to save Broadway from mediocrity. With satirised versions of Hamilton's most popular songs, ('The Film When it Happens' being a firm favourite here at London-Theatreland,) and nods to many other musical theatre classics from Gypsy to Book of Mormon, its the perfect (and cheaper) accompaniment for Hamil-fans.
Opening night: 12 July 2018
