n enjoyable story about a French town in the 1930s eagerly awaiting the arrival of its new baker and his wife
The Guardian
Starring Lucie Jones as Genevieve and Clive Rowe as the Baker!
Step into the rustic charm of a French village with The Menier Chocolate Factory's revival of The Baker's Wife, 35 years on since it was last seen in the West End! Featuring Stephen Schwartz's (Wicked) memorable score and Joseph Stein's (Fiddler on the Roof) masterful book, the production brings to life the tale of a Baker and his young wife, whose arrival in town shakes up the community. Drawing inspiration from the beloved 1938 French film La Femme du Boulanger, this revival is the first major production of The Baker's Wife since its West End debut in 1989.
The show is directed by Gordon Greenberg (The Heart of Rock and Roll) and features choreography by Matt Cole, along with set design by Paul Farnsworth and lighting by Paul Anderson. With musical supervision by Stuart Morley and musical direction by Dustin Conrad, The Menier's Baker's Wife is set to be a memorable revival.
