Varna International Ballet - Swan Lake Reviews
Lucy from Basingstoke, England
DISAPPOINTED
Totally agree with some of the previous reviews above. The principals were good, but the corps were sloppy and made some noticeable errors, the set was basic and overall the performance was a little lacklustre. The orchestra had some timing and tuning issues and again seemed sloppy. This was certainly nowhere near the standard of other professional ballet company productions I have been to.
Valentina from Bristol
SLOPPY
So many visible errors in timing, symmetry, technique. I am only an amateur dancer, and if I keep being distracted by things going wrong on every single piece, I think it means the company is just not good enough for professional standards! Maybe focusing on one ballet and really refining the details would be better than bringing 3 at once.

AWFUL
Sleeping Beauty Absolute shambles, so disappointed, took my best friend for her birthday, worst ballet I've ever seen. Orchestra was timid and not up to the job.. Shouldn't be touring too young not enough experience
Joanna from Brighton,
NOT GOOD ENOUGH
The set is a computer backdrop. Stark brash lighting. No atmosphere. Dancers chasing rounds of applause. No flow. Every few steps chopped up into a clap-able sequence. Emotion free. Not good enough for a professional show. I’ve seen Matthew Bourne Swan lake. This is a Pygmy by comparison.
