Why See A Little Night Music?
Sondhiem and Wheeler's Musical Spectacular
Coming to London's West End for one night only on 26 January 2015, Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's critically acclaimed and award-winning musical 'A Little Night Music' will be staged at London's Palace Theatre. Marking the 40th anniversary since its debut in 1975, the show has charmed theatre goers ever since, garnering four Tony awards and classic status.
An elegant portrayal of the tangled lives we humans can lead, the story focuses on members of the Egerman family in turn-of-the-century Sweden. The ageing lawyer and partiarch Frederik Egerman tries to keep his teenage bride Anne happy, while his son falls deeply in love with her. Tensions are compounded with the arrival of Frederik's former lover, the famed yet fading actress Desiree Armfeldt, and her jealous beau Count Carl-Magnus Malcom. Formed with great hilarity, wit and poignant moments, this moving masterpiece is not to be missed!
