A sizzling and sensual evening of world-class tango awaits audiences in German Cornejo's Tango After Dark. The Argentinian dance master and his company present a fiery and passionate kinetic journey set to the music of Tango icon and bandoneon player Astor Piazolla, featuring an ensemble of 10 German Cornejo Dance Company dancers, seven musicians and two singers.
Widely regarded as one of the most talented, influential and fastest rising tango pioneers in modern times, Cornejo was born in Zarate, Buenos Aires and started studying tango at the tender age of 10. With a dance degree under his belt by the age of 15, he went on to study contemporary and classical ballet, as well as jazz and acrobatics, which all give his tango an edge. Touring the world over, Cornejo continues to revolutionize his genre with critically acclaimed performance after critically acclaimed performance.
Opening night: 26 May 2020
