Midnight Cowboy Musical Premiere
Step into the gritty streets of 1960s New York with the new musical adaptation of Midnight Cowboy, based on the novel by James Leo Herlihy's and the subsequent Oscar-winning movie. This world premiere tells the story of Joe Buck, a dreamer from Texas chasing personal reinvention in the big city. There, he meets Rico "Ratso" Rizzo, a streetwise hustler with his own aspirations, with whom he forges an unlikely bond to navigate the bitter realities of survival in the city.
With a book by Tony-nominated playwright Bryony Lavery (Frozen) and a score by Ivor Novello Award-winner Francis "Eg" White (Adele, Sam Smith), the musical is directed and choreographed by Nick Winston, featuring design by Andrew Exeter and Sophia Pardon. Running from April 4 to May 17, 2025, at Southwark Playhouse, don't miss Midnight Cowboy.
