Why See Unexpected Joy?
A brand new musical
Unexpected Joy lands on British shores this September after premiering off-Broadway in April. This brand new musical by Bill Russell and Janet Hood sees the pair reunite after their successful song cycle which brought you Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens.
Unexpected Joy tells the story of three generations of female singers as they spend a week together. Tensions run high, questions are answered and change is in the air. Directed by Amy Anders Corcoran, who recently directed Escape to Margaritaville (currently on Broadway), Unexpected Joy is a heartfelt story of self-discovery with a unique and compelling score.
