David Hywel Baynes returns for this new production!

Returning to the stunning, gothic surrounds for its 10th anniversary season is a new production by Iris Theatre; this year they tackle Macbeth in a dark psychological exploration of the human mind. Set around the eerie grounds of St Paul’s Church, the audience travels on foot with the tragic anti-hero as he is tormented by visions and the manipulation of his ambitious lady wife, herself no angel. this new production is helmed Daniel Winder, and stars the talented David Hywel Baynes in the lead, returning to Iris Theatre after a period of three years since his acclaimed role in Richard III, also at the same venue.

Ramping up the horror factor, Winder's take on Shakespeare’s Macbeth has been billed as "a terrifying journey into the mind of a murderer". Taking inspiration from the psychosexual imagery of Hieronymus Bosch, the ever-moving (quite literally) production will take place in certain points around the church grounds, providing a fully immersive experience that fills your mind with dread - of the scary type.
