A SENSATION FROM THE FIRST SECOND

This will be my 3rd visit. If you've ever dreamed of being on a stage or if you have, and been given a round of applause you cannot fail to be moved by this joyous, honest, painful and finally uplifting show.

A WONDERFUL SHOW

We visitied for my birthday yesterday and having looked forward to the show, it didnt disappoint. John Partidge oozzes charisma and Scarlett Strallen is a star. Having loved the film since the 80's I was concerned that I wouldn't love it as much, but me and all the rest of the audience gave a standing ovation at the end....need I say more? don't listen to cynics, just go and enjoy yourself

A CHORUS LINE

I've had the privilege of seeing it twice already, and it is absolutely superb. John Partridge is PERFECT in the role of Zach, I was blown away. He has so much power and command up on that stage, and does a fantastic accent too. Victoria Hamilton-Barritt is the standout female for me, the best Diana I've seen. Nothing and What I Did For Love are beautifully performed. Gary Wood's monologue really struck a chord with me, it actually brought tears to my eyes. It was very sincerely delivered and extremely touching. Leigh Zimmerman is perfect in the role of Sheila, and got the most audience response - lots of laughs and a big round of applause at the end. Becky Herszenhorn took on the role of Val extremely well, although there is room for improvement vocally. Scarlett Strallen's solo is simply mesmerising. All in all, 2 hours flew by, and I'd happily watch it over and over again, I feel it's the kind of show where you'd appreciate something/someone different every time you saw it.

AMAZING!

ABSOLUTELY SENSATIONAL

Brilliant performances by a superbly talented cast with boundless energy. I literally sat on the edge of my seat. It was wonderful. Can't recommend highly enough. Our seats were right on the edge in the circle but it didn't matter at all, the view was great. Bear in mind there's no interval, 2 straight hours. Also a few bits of swearing and "adult" content, so I wouldn't take little ones. They recommend over 10s. Buy a ticket while you can, I reckon it'll be the must-have ticket of 2013 and beyond...

EXCELLENT

I went with a friend to see the matinee show yesterday afternoon. I knew the film very well, and my friend didn't know it at all-had never seen it. We both thoroughly enjoyed the show. It doesn't have an interval because it would spoil the show if it did. Just go and enjoy it.

OUTSTANDING

I saw this last Monday (last night of preview), what an incredible show! There is so much talent on stage I think it encourages everyone to up their game. There was a standing ovation at the end / and I mean the whole theatre - it was a full house. Songs to look out for are 'Nothing', 'The Ballet' and 'What I did for Love' as well as of course 'Singular Sensation' I note this is on for a limited period so get there soon. The monologue on the Palladium stage by Paul (I think - Gary Wood) takes some doing, the whole place went silent it was stunning perfection theatre. I have seen many London shows and they are always special, but this had something more - first class!

DON'T PUT YOUR DAUGHTER ON THE STAGE MRS W

This is a stangely mesmerising show, I wanted not to like it but was drawn in despite myself. It is energetically and slickly performed whilst at the same time seeming curiously dated. I started wondering about a revival that might re-invent and re-inject the rawness of the original - but then I am a jaded ex-actress who isn't a big fan of musicals anyway. My 12 year old daughter - whose knowledge of Broadway is limited to a recent school production of 'Hairspray' - was utterly entranced and enthralled by the production- I fear it may not have put her off her intention of becoming an actress which was my ulterior motive for taking her!

A CHORUS LINE

A well staged, beautifully choreographed show, thought provoking storyline and utterly beautiful finale. All cast members shine but John Partridge's Royal Ballet School pedigree shows with his beautiful dancing. The lack of interval is my only criticism.

FUN NIGHT OUT ;)

Set design is incredibly simple. The plot also incredibly simple with a bit too many side branches. Songs and dancing are nice :) Quite charming too :) Fun night out!

NEED TO KNOW THE STORY...

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing this production last month, however I think you really do need to know what it is about before booking _ it is very similar to the film and I cannot understand why people are commenting about the scenery and lack of "dance numbers" - that is exactly what "A Chorus Line" is about - an audition.

TOO MUCH DIALOGUE, NOT ENOUGH SINGING AND DANCING!

I went with a large group of people of various ages on Wednesday matinee. Many, like me, found it a bit of a let down. Went on too long, too much dialogue and not enough dancing/singing. Several in the audience fell asleep ! Truly. Having seen numerous west end shows, I felt strangely let down by this one. A pity. The last 30 minutes are the best.

I FELT NOTHING!

Having seen the original show, was really looking forward to seeing again and booked top price stalls seats for the last saturday preview. So disappointing. I don't wish to knock anyone who gets on stage for a living but this was mediocre. A handful of performers were OK but on the whole, Casting, Direction, Acting and Dancing was poor. I appreciate this was a preview but it will take sometime to produce the high standard 'cast performance' this classic and great show deserves. There must be so many people paying well earned money to see this show and leaving the greatest theatre in london saying "I can do that!.... What a shame.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

This really was not of the standard you would expect of a West End show. The show is dated, and the standard of performance is poor. I couldn't wait for it to finish and if there had been an interval I would not have come back for the second half. I went to the last preview before the opening night so I don't think it is likely to get any better.

WORST SHOW EVER

Having seen many shows and musicals around the world and here in London, I can confidently say that this show ( its not really a musical) is the most boring and forgettble show ever. It has no appeal, no story, no pzazz, nothing. Even the dancing and singing is very mediocre. No costumes, no sets, and mono dreary dialogues from each dancer. No flare. No wonder the person next to me fell asleep. Had there been an interval many woud have left. When one looks at the pamphlet you realise its a complete con. Don't waste your time let alone your money.
